The new Samsung Galaxy S8 has
the world’s first Infinity Screen –
an expansive display that stretches
all the way to the edges of the device
and makes everything feel
more immersive.
The official launch "Unbox Your Phone"
took place in the biggest way imaginable:
A massive life-sized blue whale swimming
through Times Square.
R/GA synchronized 45 different billboards
to create a single, connected experience
that immersed everyone who witnessed it,
as the whale moved seamlessly from
screen to screen.
As part of the campaign, I was lucky to
art direct the motion of the whale inside
New York's Oculus and T-Mobiles flagship
store that also took a huge part
in the "Time Square Takeover."
Our execution won a Bronze Lion at Cannes 2017
for Design Craft: Video / Moving Images.

CAD Sketches - Oculous (World Trade)
Shown are the CAD Sketches of how we were able to think through the placement and movement
of the whale throughout the Oculous Building. Since there were big screens throughout the building,
this gave us a lot of room to place with space and trasfering the whale to other screens.
